sometimes i wonder,
am i Good enough for
This?

i Watch
the Procession of
the big boys

and i Choke
on their dust.
Tears well in my eyes.

your random dose of bad poetry - with no resolution - because I just feel like it.

kiss the day goodbye

post, post, post...

still working through the mythology books, although my momentum was rather easily crushed by my inability to draw Hera in Velma Kelly's role as part of the Cell Block Tango (from the musical Chicago) successfully in under an hour. i don't know.

the idea haunts me.

got a commission off of an old sketch which made me go back and re-evaluate some other old sketches. some of them were good! i don't know how that happened. there is a freshness to them that feels missing. as if yon Pen plies pose and pomp. wherefore art Purity!

also, those old CS notes took me back. O, efficiency analysis! O, syntax!

first, however, i must apply for employment.

so apparently, my unpainted sculpture got featured by some kind soul. i'm happy about that. i never believed that painting it brought about an improvement, and now i know this feeling was completely justified. true, the presentation WAS bad. let this be a lesson to you kids, never let your parents photograph your art - they'll get it all wrong.

my dinotopia homage continues to garner interest. so much so, in fact, that a revision is highly likely to percolate to the front of my to-do list. but don't hold your breaths folks. first up is a page by page series of quick-paints of Edith Hamilton's "Mythology". 465 pages and i'm through 25. ha! ha!

::cries in a corner::

it will make me a better painter. i already feel it. but i will be dead by the end.
